We are currently open to expressions of interest for an ‘ask me’ Ambassadors free 2 day training course in the North Wales area. If this applies to you please register your interest below.
Communities are often the first to know about violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence however the way we respond isn’t always helpful. The ‘ask me’ scheme aims to improve the community’s response to survivors of abuse by training members of the community to become “ambassadors”.
The idea is that these ambassadors would find ways of starting conversations, find opportunities to share their knowledge and when someone discloses to them, be able to provide a helpful supportive response including signposts to local specialist services.
How do you become an Ask Me Ambassador?
You will need to be over 18 and successfully complete a free 2 day training course. After successfully completing the course, ambassadors are free to spend as much or as little time on their role as they wish, all we ask is that they fill in a short questionnaire once a month to let us know what they’ve been up to.
When’s the next training?
The Ask Me Scheme is currently only running in specific areas of North Wales. Please see below for dates and areas.
