North Wales

We extended our “Ask Me” scheme to North Wales from January 2019-March 2020. This work was funded by the Tampon Tax through the Department of Culture, Media and Sport and provided in partnership with Women’s Aid Federation England, Scottish Women’s Aid and Women’s Aid Federation Northern Ireland. We worked in partnership with DASU North Wales and Aberconwy Domestic Abuse Service to train around 50 community ambassadors who continue to listen to, believe and signpost survivors in their communities.

We are no longer accepting applications for the “ask me” ambassador role in this area. We are continuing to look for alternative funding so that we can resume training in North Wales. To receive updates and developments on the project, follow us on social media (links below) or check back on this page later.

Great to hear @sabiha_azad raise the concerns and experiences of young people she has heard from and raising awareness of the support available in this article: bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-…
