Campaigning & Influencing

Housing Matters

This year, Welsh Women’s Aid and nine other organisations have joined as a coalition who are committed to ending homeless and ensuring that people can live safely and independently in their own homes.

Over the past eight months, Welsh Women’s Aid and the other nine organisations have been discussing the Welsh Government’s plan and considering the opportunities and threats to the provision of sustainable services and the lives of people we represent.

We have developed an alternative proposal, a ring-fenced Homelessness and Housing Related Support grant – as we believe that this solution helps to meet Welsh Government aims, but also safeguards homelessness and housing related support services for the most vulnerable people in Wales.

To date, we have launched the #HousingMattersWales campaign pack, which provides our members with the information and tools they need to get involved to make an impact locally.

If you would like to get involved in this campaign, please download the campaign pack here
