Women’s Rights Conference – 10 October 2019

WEN Wales is delighted to invite you to our Women’s Rights conference in Cardiff, bringing together speakers, workshops and experts in women’s rights from Wales, across the UK and working internationally.

Our Key Note Speaker Virgínia Brás Gomes is a United Nations expert in women’s economic, social and cultural rights within the framework of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR).

We will also hear from sister organisations from across the UK speaking about the UN Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) process and understand better how women’s rights are threatened by ‘Brexit’. WEN Wales’ new Chair Sarah Powell will lead the AGM.

A light vegetarian lunch will be provided (please inform us of any additional dietary requirements when booking).

Mae’n bleser gan RhCM Cymru eich gwahodd i Gynhadledd Hawliau Menywod yng Nghaerdydd, gan uno siaradwyr, gweithdai ac arbenigwyr hawliau menywod o Gymru, ledled y DU a gweithio’n rhyngwladol.

Mae ein Prif Siaradwr, Virgínia Bás Gomes, yn arbenigwr mewn hawliau economaidd, cymdeithasol a diwylliannol menywod yn y Cenhedloedd Unedig o fewn fframwaith y Cyfamod Rhyngwladol ar Hawliau Economaidd, Cymdeithasol a Diwylliannol Menywod.

Byddwn hefyd yn clywed gan chwaer sefydliadau ledled y DU yn siarad am broses Confensiwn y CU ar Wahardd Pob Math o Wahaniaethu yn Erbyn Menywod a deal yn well sut mae hawliau menywod yn cael eu bygwth gan ‘Brexit’. Bydd Sarah Powell, Cadeirydd newydd RhCM Cymru yn arwain y CCB.
