The Justice and Equality Fund awards Welsh Women’s Aid over £85,000 for Training

On International Day of the Girl, Welsh Women’s Aid is delighted to announce that they have received £88,484 from the Justice and Equality Fund.

The Justice and Equality Fund was set up as a result of the Time’s Up and #MeToo movement, and has awarded more than £1,000,000 to help women who have experienced sexual harassment and abuse.

Welsh Women’s Aid has been awarded the money to provide training which will increase the knowledge and skill of women’s support services across Wales to offer much needed support to women who have experienced sexual harassment.

Welsh Women’s Aid continues to raise awareness of the Times Up and #MeToo movement by working with the nominees of the BAFTA Cymru Awards to wear a Time’s Up pin on the evening of the awards, support the movement and continue to raise public awareness.

Keep an eye out on the Welsh Women’s Aid Twitter account for more BAFTA Cymru / Time’s Up updates.
