About the event:

Child sexual exploitation and abuse is happening every day across Wales, yet how well are we really doing to deliver protection, support and prevent exploitation and abuse? This multi-agency seminar, hosted by Welsh Women’s Aid in partnership with RASASC North Wales, aims to improve our responses to child sexual exploitation and abuse, so that it is identified early, addressed effectively and ultimately prevented.

At a time when the conversation around ‘adverse childhood experiences’ is high on everyone’s agenda, we provide an opportunity for agencies to hear from prominent speakers, to explore how we can foster collaboration between VAWDASV specialist services and statutory safeguarding services, and deliver trauma informed responses that do no more harm.

The half-day seminar will be followed by a dedicated training workshop for 3rd sector specialist services, on delivering best practice responses to children and young people experiencing or at risk of sexual exploitation and abuse.

*A full agenda of the day will be sent nearer the time
