What is it all about?

An introduction to understanding violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence. This course ensures participants gain an understanding of the nature, trends and patterns of violence against women; an understanding of the support systems available for those experiencing violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence; critical issues for professionals working on violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence.

Who would find this useful?

Professionals and organisations offering frontline services or who interact with the general public. The course is designed to help professionals understand violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence in order to ensure that they can more effectively meet the needs of their service users.

Where will the training take place?

The training will take place at Welsh Women’s Aid in Cardiff between 9:30-13:00.
